Wiki Wiki!
I use wikipedia all the time. i think it goes back to my parents’ set of encyclopediae i was lucky enough to have available to refer to while growing up. whenever i momentarily disappear from a conversation with a puzzled look on my face, and return minutes later acting like a know-it-all, now you know why.
the wiki portion of the learning 2.0 program has set me to the task of exploring and experiencing the art of wiki from the standpoint of a writer wrather than a wreader. ahem.
at first i found the slightly different markups easy to remember; enclosing links within []’s and so forth.. however after i had tables (tables are so easy in pbwiki!!) all organized, i wanted to link the book covers back to the amazon.com entries, for which there was no ‘funnyword’ style shortcut for. fortunately straightforward html seemed to work fine so i went back through using html tags, and i’m pretty happy with the result: derek’s booklist, though for keeping track of book collections in general, i am lovin’ librarything.com! my own collection (just started the list) is here.

cool nice job
I dig the librarything.com! I’m gonna have to throw together my own.
BTW - I remember that big ol’ green encyclopedia set. I spent much time going through them myself. Helped me write many a high school essay (what does plagiarism mean?)
